Oracle and Quantinuum announce a multi-year partnership to make Quantinuum’s Helios quantum computer available via Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Under the agreement, Quantinuum physically installs the Helios system inside a US-based Oracle Cloud Infrastructure AI data centre, and Oracle offers access to it as a managed cloud service.
The outlets describe the arrangement as aimed at “hybrid” quantum use, combining quantum compute with Oracle’s existing high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU infrastructure in the cloud. Quartz says OCI customers will be able to use Helios alongside those HPC and GPU resources. A press release frames the goal as supporting workloads that pair quantum computing with AI, including applications such as drug discovery and materials research.
The reports do not disclose financial terms, name a launch customer, or provide a specific rollout date.
