Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay retains the Home portfolio and recommends other ministerial assignments to the Governor, which are approved. According to a Lok Bhavan press release, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar approves the portfolios for ministers sworn in alongside Vijay on May 10.
Vijay is assigned public and general administration, police, women and youth welfare, welfare of children and senior citizens, welfare of persons with disabilities, municipal administration, and urban and water supply, alongside the Home portfolio. N Anand is designated as the minister for Rural Development and Water Resources.
Aadhav Arjuna is allocated Public Works, covering buildings, highways and minor ports, and is also responsible for sports development. Dr K G Arunraj receives the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare portfolio.
K A Sengottaiyan is assigned Finance. The Hindu also notes that Anand and S. Keerthana receive specific portfolios within the cabinet allocations, consistent with the broader Lok Bhavan list reported by Business Standard.
