Actress Celina Jaitly says her “bizarre” divorce proceedings with estranged husband Peter Haag involve questions about her daily weightlifting routine. In an Instagram post, she says she was questioned in court for spending about one to 1.5 hours working out each day. She adds that her routine was described as “self obsession,” which she finds difficult to understand.
Jaitly writes that exercise became part of how she copes with multiple personal crises, including serious family losses and injuries. She also refers to the physical and emotional toll of her experiences, including giving birth to twin sons and another set of twins, as well as the death of one of her twin boys and separation from her children. She questions whether spending time lifting weights is “wrong,” arguing the “weight on the barbell” was simply the heaviest issue she could put down.
Both outlets report that her workouts were raised during the divorce process and were framed negatively. They differ mainly in how they describe the duration—either roughly 90 minutes or a one-hour-to-1.5-hour range—and in the emphasis placed on broader details of the personal trauma she lists.
