The Bombay High Court tells liquor baron Vijay Mallya and State Bank of India (SBI) to “move on” after a 2020 plea related to attachment/seizure of Mallya-linked assets loses relevance, according to reports. The court directs the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file an affidavit addressing whether the settlement process has been completed.

The judges also seek confirmation on whether the recovery steps connected to the petition are already completed. NDTV reports that Mallya’s lawyer says most assets covered by the 2020 petition have already been dealt with, aligning with the court’s focus on closure. Mint similarly notes the court’s instruction to the ED to state whether “everything is done and dusted,” suggesting the dispute is nearing finality rather than remaining open for further adjudication.
