Gaja Alternative Asset Management’s ₹550-crore initial public offering opens for public subscription on August 19 and closes on August 21, with anchor investor bidding on August 18, according to announcements cited by outlets.
The IPO price band is fixed at ₹152–160 per equity share. At the upper end of the band, the company is reported to have an estimated market capitalization of about ₹2,256 crore. The issue consists of a ₹450-crore fresh share offering and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to ₹100 crore, and is described as smaller than a previously proposed size. The company says proceeds from the fresh issue are intended for debt repayment, seeding new funds, and general corporate purposes.
Outlets also note the company’s background: Gaja Capital, founded in 2004, transitioned from a private limited company to a public limited company and was renamed Gaja Alternative Asset Management Ltd in January 2025. The IPO is set to list on the BSE and NSE on August 26, with JM Financial and IIFL Capital Services as book-running lead managers and MUFG Intime India as registrar.
