Rabi’u Kwankwaso, the 2027 vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), meets former Plateau State Governor Jonah Jang in Abuja on Friday. The visit is described as a courtesy call to mark Jang’s 80th birthday and to join in commemorations connected to Jang’s memoir.

According to both outlets, the events include recognition of the public presentation and launch of Jang’s book, titled From Airman to Politics: My Life, which is said to have been unveiled earlier in the month. The reports also note that Kwankwaso offers good wishes for Jang’s health and continued service. Jang is credited with serving as Plateau State governor from 2007 to 2015 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
