Variety reports that the “Naruto” casting search began last month as producers look for live-action versions of major characters, and that Melton’s name has also circulated following speculation he could be announced for the “X-Men” cast at last week’s D23 convention. Hollywood Reporter similarly ties the development to Melton’s current profile, noting that he recently earned a nomination for his role in Netflix anthology series “Beef.”
