FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says he expects the emergence of what he calls the “largest rainbow coalition” to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. Wike makes the remarks as he comments on a recent visit by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to his Abuja residence.

According to the reports, Wike spoke to journalists in Abuja on Friday and said Adeleke is now aligned with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He added that he believes opposition parties will struggle to prevent Tinubu’s re-election, characterising the 2027 contest as likely to be difficult to overturn.

Across the outlets, the core message remains the same: Wike predicts a major cross-party coalition in favour of Tinubu in the lead-up to 2027, and he links this expectation to recent political movement involving Adeleke. One outlet frames the coalition as potentially “unsettling” to opposition figures, but all accounts attribute the prediction to Wike and place it in the context of his comments following Adeleke’s Abuja visit.
