Astropad releases Rock Paper Pencil 4.0, an updated iPad accessory that pairs a removable screen protector with replacement Apple Pencil tips to create a paper-like writing and drawing experience. The new kit adds a second tactile option, designed to mimic the feel of graphite for sketching and shading.
MacRumors describes the product as including two tip styles: one with a smooth ballpoint feel for writing and linework, and a graphite-style tip intended to resemble a soft 2B pencil with “soft, toothy drag,” including a pencil-like sound. The kit contains two of each tip, for four total. The reusable screen protector uses Astropad’s NanoCling attachment method without adhesive and is said to leave no residue.
