Actor Swastika Mukherjee addresses resurfacing talk about a long-running feud between Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut during the promotions for Netflix film “Gandhari.” She tells NDTV she was not aware of any issue between the two actors and adds that such attention seems to arise around each Ranaut release.
Multiple outlets report that the renewed discussion follows “Gandhari” promotional activity, with coverage describing it as a seven-year rivalry. Times of India notes that Mukherjee frames it as not a “catfight,” and characterizes Taapsee as grounded and behaving normally. The same report says the rivalry became more visible after 2019 and escalated amid public debates around nepotism in 2020. Meanwhile, Mukherjee’s comments emphasize that she does not view the matter as personal conflict between co-stars.
“Gandhari,” directed by Devashish Makhija, is set to release on Netflix on September 3.
