HSA’s update follows an earlier suspension and subsequent review of products sold by local retailer Venus Beauty.
HSA reports that the banned Sudan IV dye is detected in only two batches, and only in minute quantities. CNA reports that the specific affected items were among samples purchased from Venus Beauty, and that unaffected batches can be sold again. The Straits Times similarly states that small amounts of the banned dye are found in two batches, tied to products sold by Venus.
