Oseni points to recent Atiku statements, including a pledge to reinstate the fuel subsidy regime and to reopen northern borders to boost legitimate trade. Oseni says the remarks create hype but do not provide sufficient substance or implementation plans. He also notes that Atiku’s campaign pressure has coincided with actions by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, including a directive to reduce compressed natural gas (CNG) prices.
