NCRTC has signed a solar power procurement deal for the Delhi–Meerut “Namo Bharat” corridor. The agreement covers 110 MW of solar capacity under a 25-year arrangement, intended to supply electricity for traction and related needs along the route.
Both outlets link the contract to meeting the corridor’s power demand, but they describe the share in slightly different ways. Times of India says the deal is meant to meet about 60% of the corridor’s electricity requirement, framing the project as a major portion of the power supply plan. Swarajya highlights the capacity and the 25-year contract term as the central details, focusing more on the scale of the solar commitment than on the percentage share.
