Huawei confirms the Mate XT 2 tri-fold smartphone will launch in China on September 7. The company opens pre-reservations/pre-orders for the device and also shares details about its design, including an inward-folding form factor and an octagonal rear camera module.
Outlets report the Mate XT 2 will be sold in multiple color options. These include Dark Black, Pure White, and Jin Zi/Jin Purple (translated from Chinese). Hardware configurations mentioned across reports are 16GB RAM with 512GB storage and 16GB RAM with 1TB storage.
One outlet also adds an additional variant featuring a “privacy matte” display, paired with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Both sources tie the revealed options to the China launch and pre-order availability, presenting the same core launch timing and baseline RAM/storage tiers while differing slightly on the existence of the privacy matte option.
