African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Dino Melaye again criticizes President Bola Tinubu for chairing his own Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a post on his verified Facebook page on Thursday, Melaye says the setup is like “a groom chairing his own wedding reception.”
Both outlets say Tinubu recently constituted a Presidential Campaign Council, naming himself as chairman. They also report that former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari is appointed as Director-General. Melaye’s criticism is presented as part of his broader stance against Tinubu’s campaign arrangements.
In addition, one outlet recalls that Melaye previously said he planned to take Tinubu to court over alleged appointments linked to the campaign, including Dr Zacch Adedeji of the Nigeria Revenue Service being named Deputy Director of Fundraising.
