A coroner’s inquest hears details of a fatal road crash in which Lydia Marsh and her partner, Stephen Rhodes, die after a Mazda MX-5 driven by Rhodes collides with an oncoming HGV near Gisburn, Lancashire.

The reports say Marsh dies at the scene, with Rhodes also dying after the incident on a busy road in April 2026. According to the evidence reported by outlets, the inquest hears that before the crash Rhodes told Marsh, “If I can't have her then nobody else can.”
