HBO and Sky release a full trailer for the upcoming legal drama series “War,” spotlighting Dominic West and Sienna Miller as a high-profile couple whose divorce escalates into an aggressive legal and public battle. Multiple outlets describe the story as centered on rival London law firms drawn into a contentious, high-stakes case.
The series, created by George Kay (known for “Lupin” and “Hijack”), is set in elite London legal circles and follows firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne as they compete over the outcome of the divorce. Mashable and others emphasize the trailer’s framing of the confrontation as a widely watched “divorce trial.” Deadline and Variety focus on how the trailer builds momentum ahead of the show’s October launch and highlight the ensemble cast and dialogue setting up courtroom and strategic conflict.
While the outlets vary in phrasing—some stressing the “ruthless” or “bitter” nature of the battle—the shared picture is that the divorce case becomes a wider power struggle affecting clients, lawyers, and corporate relationships.
