Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut *Sigma* releases in theatres on October 2, 2026, after a postponement from its original July 31 date. The film receives a U/A certification. On day 1, it earns Rs 2.35 crore net in India from 1,813 shows, with the Tamil version contributing more strongly than the Telugu version.
On day 2, *Sigma* earns Rs 1.50 crore net, bringing its two-day total to Rs 3.85 crore in India. Box office reporting notes a drop of 36.2% on the second day, with the Tamil market showing a greater impact than the Telugu market. *Sigma* stars Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah, with music by Thaman and cinematography by Krishnan Vasant, and centers on a librarian dealing with financial issues and criminal connections. Some coverage also links the release delay to avoiding a clash with Thalapathy Vijay’s *Jana Nayagan*.
