Adani Airports (AAHL) plans to begin redevelopment of the north section of Terminal 1B at Mumbai airport. The company says the works will temporarily make around 5 million passengers per year unable to use the affected area, equivalent to about 9% of the airport’s roughly 55 million annual passenger traffic.

AAHL says it will support airlines during the transition and provide assistance to enable a smooth migration of airport services. Coverage also indicates the redevelopment start is expected in January 2027, with the temporary impact reflecting the portion of terminal capacity affected by the construction and related operational changes.
