Multiple outlets report that Atiku defeats his main challengers—Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen—in successive state primaries, with returning officers and officials describing the exercises as peaceful in some locations.
In Edo State, Atiku is reported to win the ADC presidential primary with 17,729 votes, defeating Amaechi (10,116 votes) and Hayatu-Deen (1,906 votes). In Sokoto, outlets describe a landslide victory, with Atiku polling about 68,800 votes and defeating the closest challengers by large margins.
