The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will introduce two Class 10 board examinations each year starting from the 2026-27 academic session. Under the plan, the first examination is compulsory for all students, while the second examination is designed for students who meet eligibility requirements and want to improve their performance.
According to reports, the second attempt will let eligible students reappear in up to three subjects. The final marks are determined using the “best of two” approach, where the better result between the first and second examinations is counted for the final outcome. The move is aimed at providing more flexibility to students in how they prepare for and retake parts of the syllabus.
While the core details align across outlets—timing from 2026-27, two exams per year, a compulsory first test, subject-limited reappearances in the second, and a best-of-two rule—coverage primarily focuses on practical aspects such as eligibility and exam structure rather than on additional policy changes.
