Tata Power’s rooftop solar arm, Tata Power Solaroof, reports strong growth in distributed rooftop installations in the first half of FY27, adding more than 1.68 lakh systems. Business Line says the additions rise by about 50% year-on-year, driven by fast deployment in states including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Kerala.

Free Press Journal provides more detailed quarterly and capacity figures. It says Tata Power Solaroof installs 88,397 rooftop solar systems in July–September 2026 (Q2), up 33% year-on-year, and that installed capacity reaches 426 MWp in Q2 FY27, up 15% from 369 MWp. For H1 FY27, it adds 801 MWp of capacity (about 25% growth) versus 639 MWp a year earlier, bringing cumulative installations to around 5.75 lakh and total capacity to above 5.67 GWp.

Across reporting, the emphasis is on rising installation counts, with capacity growth slower than installation growth. Both sources point to growth across residential and commercial/industrial segments, with Uttar Pradesh among the leading contributors in both new installations and cumulative totals.
