Samsung Electronics estimates its third-quarter operating profit at 107.4 trillion won (about US$80.3 billion), a record for the quarter. The company also projects sales of 195 trillion won for the July–September period, according to earnings guidance reported by multiple outlets. If these figures are confirmed when Samsung releases final results later this month, they would show sharp year-on-year growth.

The reported estimates imply a significant surge versus the prior year: one outlet says operating profit would rise 782.5% and sales 126.6% year on year. Another source notes that the guidance would be the first time a Korean company posts more than 100 trillion won in operating profit in a three-month period. Brokerage consensus cited in one report is slightly below Samsung’s estimate, while another outlet puts the expected operating profit at roughly US$79.1 billion, consistent with the broader range around the US$80 billion mark.
