Spain stays as the world’s top-ranked men’s national team in the latest FIFA rankings update for October, according to multiple outlets. The rankings place Spain above Argentina, France and England.
Portugal rises from its previous position to enter the top five, reaching fifth place in the updated table. One outlet highlights the change specifically as Portugal “jumping” into the top five, while another notes the broader reshuffle among the leading teams, with Spain remaining first.
Across the sources, the key points are consistent: Spain retains the top spot; the next tier includes Argentina, France and England; and Portugal makes a notable upward move into fifth. No outlets report major changes beyond the updated rankings positions in this summary.
