B.C. Lions linebacker Darnell Sankey is performing at a high level as the team enters and moves through the late season, according to Canadian media reports. Both outlets describe him as a key contributor during a period of improved form.
Global News frames Sankey’s impact in terms of him returning to his usual game, while the Winnipeg Free Press highlights his veteran experience and links his play to the Lions’ “surging” momentum. While the wording differs, both accounts portray Sankey as a defensive leader whose production helps B.C. sustain positive results late in the season.
Neither report provides additional context in the excerpts shared beyond the general theme of Sankey’s role and the Lions’ run of form. Overall, the coverage emphasizes his continued effectiveness and the way it aligns with the team’s late-season momentum.
