Moove, a mobility company founded in Lagos, announces it is ending its operations in Nigeria and transferring ownership of eligible vehicles worth about N35 billion to existing customers. The company says the move takes effect after roughly six years in the Nigerian market and is intended to ensure customers receive full ownership of qualifying vehicles.

The announcement comes about a month after Uber ends its operations in Nigeria. Bloomberg reports Moove is valued at around $2.1 billion and frames the timing as part of a broader shift after Uber’s exit in early September. Nigerian outlets add that Moove’s plan includes transferring vehicles to current customers “free of charge,” with eligibility tied to which vehicles qualify under the arrangement. The sources differ mainly in emphasis—some focus on the timing after Uber, others on the vehicle-transfer value and customer ownership details.
