Motorists in the Philippines are set to see mixed fuel price changes effective Tuesday, Oct. 13, with gasoline and kerosene increasing while diesel declines. Multiple outlets report that the rollback for diesel follows several weeks of decreases, while gasoline continues a streak of increases.

According to statements relayed by outlets from the Department of Energy (DOE), gasoline is expected to rise by about ₱1.56 per liter and kerosene by about ₱1.77 per liter. Diesel is projected to drop by at least about ₱3.01 per liter. Reporting also cites industry commentary indicating diesel may fall further (roughly ₱1.80 to ₱2 per liter) while gasoline may increase by about ₱2 to ₱2.20 per liter, depending on final computations.

Outlets also note that expectations for the mixed movement are influenced by market and supply factors, including a relatively weaker oil environment tied to reserve releases and improving Middle Eastern flows, alongside ongoing security concerns and the risk of tanker-related disruptions.
