Derry City reach the FAI Cup Final after beating Galway United 2-0 in the semi-final at Eamon Deacy Park. Michael Duffy scores twice, with both goals coming in the first half, securing Derry’s place in the decider.
Derry’s opponents are Waterford, who win their own semi-final—scorers reported as Tom Lonergan and Noah Mawene—setting up an all-cup final in Dublin. Outlets align on the semi-final result, the scoreline, and Duffy’s two-goal contribution, while differing only in the amount of detail provided about the other semi-final and the reaction around the performances. The final is scheduled for Sunday, November 8 at the Aviva Stadium.
