Fiat has revealed the Multiplay concept, a compact multipurpose vehicle that can reconfigure between a family car and a pickup-style truck. According to multiple outlets, the concept measures about 4.45 metres long and features a sliding rear section designed to change the body layout quickly.
The reported configurations include a six-seat (or 6+1) family arrangement that can be used as a minivan or SUV, and a second setup that converts the rear into an open cargo bed for a four-seat pickup. While outlets describe the Multiplay as carrying forward the spirit of the earlier Fiat Multipla, Carscoops and others say Fiat does not present the concept as a direct preview of a specific production model. The differing coverage focuses mainly on the vehicle’s versatility, with some outlets emphasizing the pickup transformation and others highlighting the six-seat family layout.
