Former Super Eagles midfielder Austin “Jay-Jay” Okocha names his favourites for upcoming football awards and the UEFA Champions League. In interviews reported by multiple outlets, he backs Kylian Mbappé as his choice for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Okocha also lists clubs he believes are most likely to win the Champions League this season. Across the reports, Manchester City, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are presented as the primary favourites. The outlets frame his comments as predictions made during discussions with French media, without additional supporting statistics or explanation for the selections.
While all sources agree on the same player and clubs, they differ slightly in how they present the story’s emphasis—some highlight the Ballon d’Or selection first, while others foreground the Champions League favourites. None of the articles report any new team news or official tournament updates; the coverage centers on Okocha’s personal picks.
