Pulse Asia survey shows Sara Duterte leading 2028 presidential preferences

Vice President Sara Duterte and Sen. Bong Go remained the most preferred candidates for president and vice president, respectively, according to a recent survey conducted by Pulse Asia.

Vice President Sara Duterte emerged as the most preferred presidential candidate for the May 2028 national elections, with half of Filipino adults choosing her in a September 2026 Pulse Asia survey.

MANILA, Philippines —  Vice President Sara Duterte received the support of half of Filipino adults in a hypothetical 2028 presidential race, leading Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo and Sen. Raffy Tulfo, according to a Pulse Asia survey conducted in September. Conducted from Sept. 17 to 24, the survey asked 2,400 respondents whom they would vote for if the presidential election were held during the survey period. Duterte garnered 50 percent, followed by Robredo and Tulfor with 26 and 12 percent, respectively. Sen. Risa Hontiveros received 3 percent.
