Samsung is rolling out One UI 9, based on Android 17, to users in the United States. Updates are now reaching the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, following an earlier launch that began in South Korea.
The update is delivered over the air and is reported to be close to a 4GB download, so it requires a stable, faster connection. After installation, devices run One UI 9 on Android 17 and include the September 2026 security patch level. Outlets also note that this US availability comes about a month after Samsung’s initial rollout started, with the update expanding from its first markets to additional regions and carriers. For S24 models, availability is tied to US networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile, as devices purchased through those carriers begin receiving the update.
