Aequs Limited says it has secured long-term supply agreements with Safran to provide critical aerospace components. The company says the deals expand an existing relationship and strengthen Safran’s supply chain and production programmes. Aequs will manufacture components intended for Airbus A320, A330 and A350 aircraft programmes, as well as the Boeing 787.

Across outlets, Aequs describes the scope as covering machining of superalloy parts, complex machining, coating and assembly related to landing gear components. The agreements also extend Aequs’ collaboration with multiple Safran units, including Safran Landing Systems, Safran Aerosystems, and Safran Electronics & Defense, among others. Aequs adds that manufacturing will include work at its upcoming Aequs Engine Components Ecosystem (AECE) in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and will support capacity at its aerospace cluster in Belagavi, India.

While the outlets focus on contract scope and aircraft programmes, Free Press Journal adds that Aequs positions the deals as long-term partnerships building on an earlier agreement with Safran Landing Systems for A320 family wheels extending through 2042.
