A 44-year-old woman who jumps from a cruise ship is rescued after spending about 20 hours in the sea off the Greek island of Zante. She is found alive and conscious, according to the Greek coastguard, and recovered with the help of other vessels in the search area.

Outlets report that she is discovered a short distance from where she left the ship, including references to being found within a couple of nautical miles of the “disembarked” location. Euronews adds that the cargo ship MSC Rossella III helps locate her during search efforts. The woman’s nationality is reported by Euronews as from El Salvador, while other outlets focus on her condition and the duration she survives at sea.

The accounts broadly agree on the rescue timeline and that the Greek coastguard coordinates the response, with varying details on exact distances and the specific ship that first spotted her.
