Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” stays at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a second week, following a debut at the top spot. Business Insider also notes that Swift has accumulated a large number of chart-topping hits over her career, describing her as having the fourth-most No. 1 songs in Hot 100 history.
Variety adds that “Patient Zero” is the lead single from “The Life of Showgirl: The Encore” and that the project includes multiple newer Swift songs. Billboard focuses less on chart placement and more on the song’s musical construction, describing how its sonic elements help explain its performance compared with Swift’s broader catalog of earlier hits.
Taken together, the outlets converge on the track’s sustained Hot 100 dominance while differing in emphasis: some highlight chart statistics and the associated release, while one examines the song’s composition and stylistic features.
