EA Sports FC 27 is adding new playable content tied to the Apple TV comedy Ted Lasso, with AFC Richmond’s women’s team featured. The fictional club’s “Lady Greyhounds” are set to join existing Ted Lasso-related elements, including Coach Beard, in the latest game update.
Multiple outlets report that EA has renewed its licensing arrangement with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, extending the presence of AFC Richmond in EA Sports FC. The deal brings the club back to FC 27 four years after it first appeared in FIFA 23. The women’s team is described as becoming playable across several modes, including Kick Off, Career Mode, and Online Seasons.
Coverage frames the change as aligning with the TV series’ newer women’s storyline, presenting the fictional club through a broader team perspective rather than focusing solely on the men’s squad. No additional gameplay mechanics beyond the new team’s availability across modes are detailed in the provided reports.
