Lexus Korea launches an all-new eighth-generation ES sedan in South Korea, adding its first all-electric variant to the model line. Alongside upgraded hybrid options, the company introduces the battery-electric ES 350e as part of a broader electrification push for a segment that has become increasingly competitive.

Lexus positions the move as an extension of its experience with hybrids rather than a sudden shift. Sources say the new ES lineup includes both fully electric and hybrid electric versions, giving customers choice across powertrains. The electric ES 350e is reported to offer up to a 478-kilometer range on a single charge, and supports battery charging from 10% to 80% in about 28 minutes. Prices for the new lineup are reported to start at 71.6 million won (about $53,500) for the ES 350e and rise to 84.9 million won, with the range of variants expanding to multiple BEV and HEV configurations.

Overall coverage agrees on the launch timing, the introduction of the first BEV ES model, the core specifications and charging time for the ES 350e, and the redesigned, electrified scope of the all-new ES range.
