CJ ENM and MBC Group announce a long-term streaming partnership to expand Korean entertainment across the Middle East and North Africa. The deal, unveiled at MIPCOM, introduces a dedicated, TVing-branded space within MBC Shahid, the region’s streaming platform operated under MBC Group.

Under the agreement, new Korean series are released in the Middle East and North Africa on a simultaneous basis, and the partnership also includes an exclusive window on MBC4. Several outlets describe the arrangement as an extension of the partners’ existing long-term strategic relationship, with MBC Shahid’s parent company (MBC Group) coordinating the launch from its Riyadh-based operations, and CJ ENM contributing through its role as a partner associated with TVing.

Coverage is aligned on the core elements: a dedicated TVing hub on MBC Shahid, wider and timely access to Korean premium content across MENA, and an MBC4 exclusivity component. Differences are mainly in phrasing and emphasis—some reports foreground the launch structure and platform branding, while others frame it more broadly as a strategic “next step” to leverage the companies’ regional and Asian distribution strengths.
