Paramount Pictures is taking over the Bay Theatre at Caruso’s Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades, with the venue set to reopen later this year. The theatre has been closed since the January 2025 LA wildfires.

Multiple outlets report that the theatre previously changed hands multiple times, including earlier operations by Netflix and before that by Cinepolis. Under the new arrangement, The Lot, a luxury dine-in cinema chain, will operate the venue. Variety and the Los Angeles Times both describe the reopening as a dine-in cinema experience. The reports also link the venue to Paramount’s broader involvement through Skydance-linked operations, with The Lot managing day-to-day screening and customer service. All accounts agree on the planned reopening timeline and the change in ownership and operations following wildfire closure.
