A former theme park ride operator, Josef Luke Hammond, admits sexually assaulting 19 girls under the age of 13. Staffordshire Police said Hammond worked at Drayton Manor in Staffordshire when a girl told a parent she had been touched inappropriately, prompting an immediate response.
According to reports, park staff reviewed CCTV and sent Hammond home before police arrested him on the same day in August 2024. Police said officers later identified 19 victims. Hammond, 24, joined Drayton Manor in March 2024 and admitted the offences at Stafford Crown Court on Monday.
All outlets report that Drayton Manor says it was appalled by the allegations and that it suspended and dismissed Hammond after concerns were raised. Police also urged parents or guardians with concerns to contact authorities. Hammond has been bailed pending sentencing, listed for December 11 at Stafford Crown Court.
