Kevin Wickham receives his maiden Test call-up as he is selected in West Indies’ 15-member squad for a two-match away series against Bangladesh. Multiple outlets report the selection comes after Wickham’s strong recent form in the regional circuit.
The tour includes the first Test at Mirpur beginning October 28, followed by the second match in Sylhet starting November 5. Shai Hope is rested for the series after playing across all three formats for an extended period. Times of India adds context that Hope is still involved in West Indies cricket, leading the team in the ongoing white-ball series against India. The Guyana Chronicle frames the Bangladesh tour as West Indies’ last assignment of the 2025–27 ICC World Test Championship cycle.
Overall, outlets align on Wickham’s first Test inclusion, the squad size, the two venues and start dates, and the reason Hope does not feature in the Test matches.
