Fujifilm has unveiled the Instax Square 2, a new instant camera in its Square format lineup. Like earlier Square models, it keeps the process analog by not relying on smartphone apps or other digital tools to change the final photo.

Multiple outlets report that the camera introduces physical, analog color filters—designed to adjust the color and tone of instant prints. The Verge describes a sliding “mood filter” switch that applies one of two colored filters, continuing Fujifilm’s approach used in earlier analog-focused models such as the Instax Square SQ6.

Gizmodo and other coverage emphasize that the feature is available without digital assistance, positioning it as a simple, in-camera way to customize the look and feel of prints. PetaPixel frames the announcement as part of a broader Instax Square refresh, highlighting that the company is adding creative control while maintaining the instant, non-digital workflow.
