Mahrah Al Nahyan, 32, described as an Abu Dhabi royal family member through marriage, is found unconscious on a busy street in west London next to an unconscious man, while a three-year-old child plays barefoot close to traffic. The incident, which takes place on 13 June 2026, draws attention from passers-by who intervene to protect the child and alert authorities.
Court reporting says Al Nahyan later regains consciousness after about 30 minutes and acts erratically, including alleged outbursts at those who helped. Prosecutors tell the court she used cocaine in the days leading up to the incident, and drug paraphernalia is reportedly found among her belongings, although no illegal substances are recovered at the scene. Her defence says she had not taken drugs on the day itself, describing exhaustion after earlier cocaine use.
Al Nahyan admits a charge of child neglect and is sentenced to a two-year community order with a rehabilitation requirement, alongside a fine and prosecution costs. Reporting also says she is undergoing addiction treatment and plans further rehabilitation steps after completing the programme.
