Netflix releases a trailer for the thriller starring Manoj Bajpayee, now titled “Gajab Raat,” after the project was previously announced under the name “Ghooskhor Pandat.” NDTV and other outlets describe the film as a suspense thriller in which Bajpayee plays a police officer. The trailer and promotional materials are shared by Netflix as part of the film’s rollout.
Across reports, the film is produced by Neeraj Pandey and directed by Ritesh Shah. The Hindu and India Today say the film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 23. Free Press Journal adds that earlier this year the original title sparked controversy, leading to legal actions including an FIR and a petition filed in Delhi High Court seeking to ban the film. Free Press Journal also says the makers removed promotional content from social media and later confirmed the title would change, aligning with the new “Gajab Raat” branding.
The film also features Divya Dutta, Akshay Oberoi, Saqib Salim, and Nushrratt Bharuccha, according to the available reports.
