A 19-year-old man, Dante Davis, is charged with three counts of murder in connection with a deadly attack and fire on Kidd Lane, Kingston 13, last Friday night. The incident killed two women and a one-year-old boy, police say.

Authorities report that residents heard explosions around 11:45 pm and contacted emergency services. When police arrived, a home on the premises was engulfed in flames. The Jamaica Fire Brigade extinguished the fire. Police say Davis was taken into custody the same day and was later charged by detectives from the St Andrew South Criminal Investigations Branch.

Outlets agree on the core charges and the victims’ identities. Reports also list additional offences linked to the alleged attack and fire, including conspiracy to commit murder, arson-related conspiracies, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony. One outlet says a court date is being finalised, while others focus mainly on the charges and the circumstances of the deaths.
