Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says he has spoken with senior U.S. envoys as Kyiv and Moscow prepare for another round of high-level contacts. Multiple outlets report that the meetings are expected to begin with a White House gathering hosted by U.S. First Lady Melania Trump.

The conversations are framed as preparation for talks involving Ukraine, the United States and Russia. One outlet adds that Zelensky’s call involved U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and lasted about 90 minutes ahead of trilateral talks scheduled for Nov. 10–11. Another outlet links the diplomacy to renewed momentum in long-stalled peace efforts.

Some reporting also includes additional substance from Ukraine’s side. Kyiv Post says Ukraine presented its peace proposals to Washington during the call and pressed for “ironclad” post-war security guarantees, alongside requesting Patriot air-defense interceptors amid a stated shortage. Other outlets focus more narrowly on the fact of Zelensky’s calls and the planned White House meeting.
