Nvidia and SK hynix announce a multi-year technology partnership aimed at advancing next-generation memory technologies used in AI “factories,” where high-performance AI computing systems are built and deployed. The deal builds on years of co-engineering between the two companies, with SK hynix saying the agreement supports development of advanced memory for next-generation AI platforms. Both companies describe the collaboration as extending beyond a simple memory-supply relationship. Nvidia and SK Group leadership say they are co-designing AI roadmaps so Nvidia’s accelerator architecture and SK hynix’s memory technology evolve together. The partnership is also presented as helping establish a more stable supply of advanced memory, which typically requires long development cycles.
Korea Times reports that the cooperation includes efforts to develop chips for AI accelerators and to expand AI-related infrastructure. SK Group officials add that the broader collaboration spans additional SK Group initiatives, including work that reaches into areas such as semiconductor fabs and data centers, and potentially extends to adjacent AI fields like personal AI and “physical AI.”
