Lesley Groff, a longtime executive assistant to Jeffrey Epstein, is scheduled for a closed-door, transcribed interview with the U.S. House Oversight and Reform Committee as part of the House’s ongoing investigation into Epstein. Multiple outlets report that Groff worked for Epstein for nearly 20 years, beginning in 2001 and continuing until his arrest in July 2019. The DOJ-released Epstein-related documents include extensive references to her, with one report noting her name appears more than 150,000 times in the files released by the Department of Justice.
In earlier FBI questioning, Groff states that she began working for Epstein after being contacted by a headhunter and assigned to support his schedule. Reporting also says that Groff helped arrange Epstein’s meetings with prominent figures and handled aspects of his appointments and travel. Survivors and other advocates have alleged that she functioned as a key intermediary for arranging access to Epstein, including during massage-related appointments.
Separately, one report describes Groff’s testimony as asserting she did not witness Epstein’s alleged crimes and that she believed the massage arrangements involved licensed massage therapists rather than victims. House officials continue to pursue details through the interview process.
