A group of 22 countries, including the United States and European nations, issues a joint warning to Iran to halt what it describes as attacks “on our soil.” In a statement, the countries say attempts to kill, kidnap, harass, intimidate, or otherwise attack people in other countries undermine national sovereignty and international norms, and must stop immediately.
Multiple reports say the warning also condemns Iran’s security services for their “deplorable” use of international and local criminal gangs to carry out alleged plots. According to the accounts, the affected areas cited in connection with these allegations include Europe, North America, and Australia.
The joint statement frames the message as a demand for immediate cessation of the alleged activities and as a clear signal of diplomatic disapproval from a broad coalition of governments.
