Indian football fans can watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 through paid broadcasting by Zee or via limited free coverage on Doordarshan’s DD Sports. Zee Entertainment has secured the official broadcasting rights in India and will make matches available on its sports channels, including a new Unite8 Sports network, and through its streaming platform Zee5. The coverage is described as extending from the group stage through to the final. Zee5 is available via subscription, with options listed as a three-month plan and an annual plan, and viewers can watch on phones, tablets, laptops and smart TVs.
For free viewing, DD Sports will broadcast selected matches over DD Free Dish. Sources indicate that the public broadcaster will air the opening match between Mexico and South Africa, and also show key knockout-stage games, including quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final. The tournament runs with a 48-team format and 104 matches across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
